ASUP calls off two weeks old nationwide strike

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics has suspended its nationwide strike, two weeks after the industrial action began.
This was announced at the 14th national delegates conference held in Bauchi state.
The union suspended the strike because the federal government agreed to honour the deal signed with the union last year.

Some students who have been hanging around campus are happy about this, but urge schools to ensure academic activities are not rushed.
