IMSO include a formidable union of key players in the Nigerian Electronic and Print media industry, good governance advocates, social rights crusaders, political mandate guards, grassroots mobilisers, seasoned bloggers and social media influencers.

According to the group’s Executive Director, Comrade Harris Chuma, Anambra State has witnessed unprecedented infrastructural developments, road construction and reconstruction, job creation and employment, improved education, revamped health sector, security and others since inception of Governor Obiano.

“Today, Gov. Willie Obiano stands out as the most celebrated governor in Nigeria due to his great accomplishments in security and other related matters. His unique welfare package for civil servants has resulted to both indigenes and non indigenes jostling for space in the state civil service. Despite the prevailing economic recession in the country occasioned by sharp drop in oil prices, his administration has regularly and timely remunerated and promoted the state civil servants” he said.

He added that his team was conceived and created to checkmate the activities of opposition and what he termed detractors who were daily distorting the facts to malign the image of the governor in the media, even as he urged Anambrarians and their residents to reject “political buffoons and agents of darkness” who he believed that their malicious reports and desperation for power was to return the state to dark age.

Contributing, an APGA stalwart, Chief Emmanuel Mbamalu implored the traditional media to join hands with IMSO to project the good image of the governor with a view to enabling him continue with his good work.

Addressing the mammoth crowd, the representative of Governor Willie Obiano, who is he’s SSA on Political matters, Owelle Mbaso, urged the media group to also help in sensitising Anambrarians and residents of voting age to who were yet to obtain their voters card to hasten for it as it remains a great democratic weapon to entrench good governance.

Earlier, IMSO event Coordinator, Hon. Nnanna Nzewi noted that his group was ready to work with various Governor Obiano’s campaign team and media houses to realise their objective of returning the governor come November 18.

Among the highlights of the occasion was official recognition of Comrade Harris Chuma’s APGA ward 2 Chairman (Ogbunike, Oyi LGA), Hon. Damian Chigbo.
