In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of BIAFRA declaration,  a CEO of conglomerates, Godwin Chukwunaenye Ezeemo canceled all his engagements yesterday and spent the day in prayers and deep reflection of the Igbo identity.

Ezeemo took time to pray for Biafra martyrs and heroes, especially those brutally murdered last year in Anambra State on the same day.

He called on fellow Igbos not to lose the pristine symbolism and ideal of Biafra which is a just and free society, first among themselves and then, as bona fide stakeholders in the Nigeria project.

In his words, "Until the goals of a true democratic and egalitarian society are met, starting with the enthronement of forthright and selfless leaderships at all levels of our society, we shall never relent in our struggle."

It will be recalled that Godwin Chukwunaenye Ezeemo has been a champion for selfless governance, meritorious society and internal democracy in political parties as panacea for a facilitated breaking of the jinx of underdevelopment in Nigeria and dousing all ethnic agitations for secession.
