Anambra State Chief Registrar laments over unpaid staff leave allowance, January salary

The Acting Chief Registrar of Anambra State High Court, Nnamdi Mbanefo has lamented over nonpayment of judicial workers January Salary and December 2016 leave allowance.

Mbanefo, who spoke to newsmen at the state House of Assembly complex in Awka, said that it was unfair since their colleagues from other ministries have received the said emoluments.

He however, urged his colleagues to be patient as he was sure the state executive and relevant agencies were working round the clock to get their entitlements remitted.

While responding to questions on infrastructural decay in the state judicial headquarters such as dilapidated buildings and impassable roads, Mbanefo said they were hoping to get them appropriated for in the 2017 budget estimate in which he said they demanded for three hundred and fifty million naira against the two hundred they used to receive in the past.

He also refuted the allegations that the there are numerous ghost workers working in the arm of government, saying that there are no evidence to substantiate the claims.
