Nigeria’s first Republic Minister of Aviation, Mbazulike Amaechi has lamented that people of southeast are currently been relegated to background politically, and asked them to bring home their investment to restructure the once industrialized zone.

According to one of the few surviving nationalists, Igbos should not be deterred for not being in politics, because they could still control the country’s economy once they wisely invest their resources in the region, where he believed they are most secured and positioned to showcase the zone to the world.

He, therefore, urged industrialists and other notable Southeasterners, who have contributed in developing other lands through their firms, wealth of experiences, academics, arts and crafts, to relocate them back to the region rather to concentrate them where crisis and other unforeseen circumstances could easily impede their growth.
Recalling the giant strides of his contemporaries in the region, Mbazulike, who was a Chairman on the occasion of Anambra State political round table recently held at Awka by a-nongovernmental organisation, Anambra State Political Platform Movement for Greater Anambra State (MOFGAS), said he was optimistic that Southeast zone would soon bounce back.
