Igbo Monarch Urges Igbos To Think Home

By Okechukwu Onuegbu
The Traditional Ruler of Nri kingdom, Eze Obidiegwu Onyesoh has charged Igbos both at home and in the Diaspora to always reflect on developing their homeland.
Eze Onyesoh, who gave the charge in the face of challenges facing the race in Nigeria, advocated a think home philosophy as a means of survival.
The royal father lamented the inhuman treatment meted out to the race in some parts of the country, and advised the Igbos to be tactful in words and in their actions especially in the northern parts of the country.
He condemned the recent killing of one Bridget Agbahime from Mbaitoli—Imo State in Kano by some Muslim fundamentalists as most barbaric and horrorific, and asked people of Southeast not to take up arms but should exercise caution and dialogue in the pursuit of their human rights.
Eze Onyesoh further condemned the recent killings of some Igbos in Onitsha and environs during the recent Pro Biafran demonstrations, even as he advised that the concept of Biafra should be a concept of the mind and an ideology expressible through dialogue, diplomacy and ideology rather than a clamour for the physical separation of the Igbo race from the Nigerian federation.
