We are out to clean Anambra, Raise IGR—OCHA Brigade

Okechukwu Onuegbu

The Superintendent General, Ocha Brigade (also referred to as Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra), Mr. Kenneth Okonkwo has stressed the readiness of his agency to increase the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) through proper enforcement of existing laws and orders governing the land.

Okonkwo, who further insisted that both the indigenes and residents of the state would no longer evade payment of taxes and levies, added that illegal IGR collectors and multiple tax collectors would henceforth be prosecuted by his men and women through their already established mobile courts.

Speaking to after the passing out parade of 200 able men and women recently trained to join the second badge of Ocha Brigade between 14th May, 2016 to 15th June, 2016, the Ocha Brigade boss boasted that Anambra State government also trained, equipped and mobilised them to discipline people on personal and environmental hygiene, even as he charged families, cooks, hoteliers, industries, companies and others to properly dispose waste or face the law.

He however, requested the entire populace to keep informing the agency of defaulters as they were out to discharge their duties positively.
