The member representing Anaocha 11 at Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Charles Ezeani has implored Governor Willie Obiano to redirect the State Ministry of Works to rehabilitate Okacha and Neni-Ichida roads, which according to him are in deplorable condition.

Speaking to News48hrs.com recently, Ezeani while commending the governor for quickly intervening on his motion to reconstruct Okacha bridge pointed out that more works were needed at the various sites in order to reshape and link-up his constituency with their neighbouring towns and cities.

“Urgent actions are needed to rehabilitate the various roads which are in bad shapes. So many drainages and environment at Okacha needed to be cleared to give way for easy passage of water and human being. The economic potentials of Neni-Ichida road are numerous been the shortest route connecting Anambra with Imo and so many other states in the federation. This is why there are so many traffics congestion there”, Ezeani added.

He further blamed supervisors of road projects for shoddy jobs mostly witness on completed road projects, because according to him, should those people effectively carryout their supervisory duties, the contractors would discover and tackle the anomalies head-on.

On some of his achievements so far, the lawmaker said he had empowered his constituents through agriculture, and football via Charles and Fr. Willie Sports Academy.

His words: “On agriculture, I have trained over 1000 people on fish farming, who are currently practicing the vocation. Some of communities in my constituent, like Umunri even syndicated their lands for construction of fish ponds. So soonest, international organisations would come and invest on these projects.

“On football, I am in partnership with the world renowned sports veteran, Fr. Willie Ojukwu. Our team members have discovered a lot of talents, who were recently invited and chosen by NFF to further be showcased to the international football developers and fans. And any moment from now, I shall commence talent hunt to discover and engage other talented individuals in music, dancing, acting, etc”.
