Onwuegbule Condemns Gruesome Murder Of Ezinne Nwachuckwu

Ahiazu Mbaise LGA TC Chairman, Chief Cletus Onwuegbule has condemned the kidnapping and gruesome murder of Ezinne Ann Nwachukwu of Umulolo lhitte Ubi, lsiala Oparanadim after five days incarceration by her abductors.

Chief Onwuegbule who spoke when he visited the scene of the incident at Umunnachi lhitte Ubi described the act as bizzare, barbaric and inhuman.
He called for all hands on deck to help fish out the hoodlums and ensure that justice takes its cause, warning gainst compromise and connivance from any quarter.

Speaking, the traditional ruler of lsiala Oparanadim, Eze lsdore Atughara appealed to government to lend her weight to the  matter and ensure that all those behind the crime are brought to book.

He decried the laissez-faire attitude of the community vigilante and lukewarm behaviour of some members of the community to security  issues, harping on the need for all to be alert and render useful information to the police and other security operatives to help nip crime on the bud.

The royal father regretted that this is not the first time similiar ugly incident is occuring in lhitte Ubi and advised the village to unite and look inwards to flush out bad eggs in their midst.

Narrating the incident, the second son of the deceased, Pastor Anslem Nwachuckwu disclosed that the mother was kidnapped early hours of Friday 5th February 2016 at about 4.00 a.m. by seven gunmen who came in Toyota car and the body was consequently found lying lifeless within the community after five days.
He said one of the kidnappers called three hours later with the mother's GSM number demanding for the sum of NI0m and thereafter descended to N3m after three days but to his suprise send him a text message on the fourth day that read: "As a child of God, this is the last to here from me again and l tell you the truth, do you know one Prince and his brother Jude (nephews) by name. They are the ones that called us to come in your house and pick your mother. I am giving them the phone now and am I giving them from now to 1.00 O'clock to leave her. They are two people that called us, I have called their names. They are now seven in numbers. I am now a child of God. l thank you Amarachi for making me to know God. The men of God I thank you for my life. Please forgive me please. For your mother, give them the money please. I promise you all to call the names of the people. Now, I am going out from Nigeria today. She will not die. Amen.
Continuing, Pastor Nwachukvvu said he got a shocking call the day after asking him to go and pick up her mother, that they do not need the money again and when the brothers and sisters nearby got there, they saw the mother's corpse wrapped in her wrapper and bed spread in the bush.

He said all efforts to link his mother's phone number thereafter proved abortive as the line remained unreachable.
