The Day APGA Stood tall for Chief Victor Umeh

Image result for pictures of chief victor umehIn recognition of his sportsmanship in piloting affairs of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) as National Chairman since past eight years; an arm of the party, APGA Solidarity Movement (ASM) recently endorsed Chief Victor Umeh as Senator designate for Anambra Central Senatorial zone in 2015 general elections, while celebrating his 52 years sojourn on earth which incidentally coincided same date.
Chief Umeh would rock horn with Senator Chris Ngige of All Progressive Congress (APC) who currently occupies the office and other interested candidates to emerge from other political parties’ senatorial primaries poll.
The twin’s event which took place at Choice Hotels, Awka, the capital of Anambra state, on Saturday, 19th July, 2014 recoded mass turn-out of ASM members and other APGA faithfuls within and outside the state, as people from all works of life clustered to crown the day of their leader.
Speaking at the occasion, General President of ASM, Hon. Ebere Okafor, disclosed that the celebration was necessitated by Chief Umeh’s doggedness, courage, fighting spirit, soul mind and clear vision for the party, Anambra, Igbos and Nigeria at large.
On his part, Hon. Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu (Jnr), the son of APGA Late National Leader, averred that his father would have recommended Umeh for the exalted position earlier before now, if he was alive, either due to his giant strides in repositioning the political party or for putting smiles on the faces of the less privileged through his hard earned resources.
“Chief Victor Umeh is APGA, APGA is Chief Victor Umeh. He has clear vision for the betterment of all. We need him to chat for our course. He has represented the party very well; so he deserved such honour”, he said.
Also speaking, Chief Mike Kwentoh, Anambra State APGA Chairman, hinted that his boss was the best that could happen to the party, because according to him, Chief Umeh is the most qualified capable man to represent the timbre and calibers of Anambra Central Senatorial district at the national assembly.
In a similarly vein, the immediate past Commissioner for Youths and Sports in Anambra State, Hon. Edozie Aroh testified that the 7 local government areas constituting the senatorial zone, namely; Awka North and South; Idemili North and South; Anaocha; Njikoka and Dunukofia were solidly behind the party’s national President senatorial ambition.
Aroh, who was equally indulged by ASM, to canvass for Idemili North and South Federal House of Representative, boasted that with Chief Umeh, no stone would be left unturned for APGA victory at the forthcoming general elections, lamenting that people of his zone has suffered lots of setbacks as a result of poor representation accorded to the area by its past and present senators.
In an interview, the Secretary, ASM Organising Committee and Awka-north Coordinator of the association, Hon. Nchekwube Anthony explained that the group chose to honour, the man whom honour is meant for, so as to accord him better opportunity to serve humanity earnestly, because according to him, Chief Umeh could deliver, having carefully studied his antecedent and numerous achievement in shortfall of rendering selfless services to the party.
