Anglican Bishop of Damaturu raises alerm over "International Conspiracy to Islamize Nigeria"

The Anglican Bishop of Damaturu, Rt. Rev. Abiodun Ogunyemi has raised an alarm over what he termed "International Conpiracy to Islamize Nigeria" by Arab countries.

Bishop Biodun who alleged that Koran is reason behind the insecurity facing the country, also called on Christians to pray fervently for God’s intervention on Nigeria.

He also admonished Christians to pray God to bestow wisdom on President Jonathan and cabinet so as to pilot the affairs of the country through the dictate of Holy spirit now insurgency intensify.

Bishop Abiodun was speaking at the Father’s Seminar, held yesterday by Anglican fathers, Church of Holy Spirit, Paul’s University, Awka, Anambra state in a commemoration of this year’s fathers’ day.

According to him, the rising spate of insecurity in the country was sponsored by international communities, especially Arab countries so as to convert the whole Africa to Islam.

The Damaturu Bishop, therefore enjoined Christians to remain steadfast and always pray for Jonathan and his cabinet, stressing that the President is weak to take action due to bad Christian advisers in his kitchen cabinet.

On the 2015 election, the Northern Christian posited that neither the All Progressive Congress (APC) nor a Muslim would ever rule Nigeria again as a president, even as he further alleged that Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, recently sworn Emir of Kano was imposed on Kano people against their wishes by “APC who had swore to unleash terror on Christians in Kano".

He was optimistic that no weapon fashion against President Jonathan's re-election would succeed noting that Gd has already taking a control over the APC impasse.

The Anglican Bishop, however, warned Christians in the north, especially Kano state and its environs never to relent in showing love and care to Muslims in their vicinity even as Christ Jesus loved us, but to be wise as serpent, in order to foil any of their attempt to unleash terror on them.

On the recent invasion of Boko-haram to Southeastern part of the country, Abiodun alerted the government to beef-up security at the airport and borders to foil the move.

Furthermore, the Bishop said that members of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) are currently compromising their faith for material gains from top politicians.

Speaking on the ongoing National Confab, Bishop Abiodun reiterated the needs for the delegates to kick against regionalism as it would expel doom on Northern Christians because according to him, their government to be shall impose Sharia law on all irrespective of religious affiliations.

In a lecture entitled “A Healthy Home is a Wealthy Home”, Rev. Dr. Chukwudi Aniago underscored the importance of balanced-diet and further charged people to maintain regular medical check-up to avoid premature death.

Speaking in an interview, Sir Tochukwu Arubalaeze, Chairman of Fathers Fellowship, Church of Holy Spirit, admonished fathers to assist mothers in ensuring proper child up-bringing so as leave indelible marks worthy emulation to their children.
Highpoint of this year’s fathers’ day celebration at the Church were visitation to Motherless babies home during which they donated provisions, detergents, clothing among others; seminar, entitled “Security, Health and Morality, the Role of the Fathers”; free health check-up, novelty football match and thanksgiving service.
