Anambra: Governor Oniano flags-off road construction in countryhome


Anambra state Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, is flagging-off road construction at his home town, Aguleri-Uno/Aguleri-Otu road, today, to link the community to its local government headquarters at Otuocha, Aanmbra east council area.
The communities and its environs are known for swimming due to the ways nature subdued them to water/canoe transportation. Crossing over through any ranges from thirty through fifty naira in less than two kilometer or two minutes journey via boat; and sometimes for hours depending on the area one is heading to.
The road construction is expected to be completed in two years. (For details buy a copy of tomorrow's newspapers reports).
In the same vein, the Governor, yesterday, flagged-off construction of some roads at Ayamelum local government area.
Both roads if completed would assist in boasting the economic activities of the state as they would link to Oil wells in the respect council areas which has earned Anambra state "oil producing state".
Traditional Rulers, top government officials are at the site with the governor. Congrat to people of the zone as they would soon start enjoying dividends of democracy as others.
Before now none access road network reduced almost all the local government areas in Anambra north senatorial zone to nothing. The transport fare from the LGA to the state capital at Awka via vehicle is usually between 1000 to 2000 naira.
