The Union members who dressed in black and black matched to the State secretariat, the office of the commissioner for Information, Culture and tourism, Chief Joe-Martins Uzodike.
Uzodike in his condolence message described the deceased as a humble servant who paid her dues in the cost of Serving God and humanity while on earth.
He however commiserated with the state council of NUJ and the family of the deceased for the irreparable loss.
Comrade Udoji Omelu who led Anambra state NUJ for six years (2006 to 2011) with numerous outstanding achievements passed on weekend, after a brief illness.
She has since been deposited in an undisclosed morgue. Details of her burial has not been disclosed even as the  State Chairman of the council, Comrade Henry Nwasike has enjoined all the union members to grace the NUJ congress tomorrow as plans to give the ex-council boss a befitting burial will be discussed.
It would be recalled that the deceased earlier gave testimony of her healing from a partial stroke some weeks back in a Sunday Service of Living Faith Church, Unizik Temptsite, Awka.
