Anambra Expectants of Governor Obiano

Okechukwu Onuegbu

As Anambra State Governor-Elect, Chief Willie Maduabuchi Obiano takes over from his predecessor, Mr. Peter Obi today; stakeholders in the state have disclosed their expectants of the new administration.
Speaking in an interview, the CEO, Anambra State Security Trust Fund, Maazi Nwokoye Okechukwu has described the new governor as a man of the people, ably qualified to move the state to her promise land, having hail from the same profession with the former.
According to him, “Obiano is a banker, a chartered accountant of international repute, best of the best, first among his equal, ever qualified and ready to surpass the outgoing Governor in all ramifications. I am sure that he will take us to a promise land”.
In a similar vein, the Pioneer Board of Trustee Chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Dr. Tim Menakaya passed vote of confidence on Obiano saying that he has the pedigree, ever prepared and over qualified for the job, even as he assured that the new man at helm of our affairs has the capacity to deliver on his mandate even more than the out-gone governor.
However, Dr. Menekaya added that they (APGA stakeholders and Monarchs) would constitute the new Governor’s supervisory and advisory team either directly or indirectly for a hitch-free tenure.
While, Hon. Chugbo Enweze of Onitsha North 1 and Hon. Ejiofor Ebele of Anaocha state constituencies expected the new administration to improve on the legacies left by Governor Obi.
