PPA gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming Anambra State gubernatorial elections, Mr Godwin Chukwunaenye Ezeemo has admonished the youths not to despise whatever training they are getting while they are young as whatever they are able to learn would come in handy when they become adults saddled with responsibilities.

Ezeemo said this during an inspiring interactive session he had with over 300 youths in attendance at the just concluded Aguata Diocesan Convention which held in Holy Trinity Church, Oko, Orumba North Local Government Area, Anambra State themed "Fill thy horn."

Addressing the youths, he recalled how he was actively involved in church activities while he was growing up and how the character and morals he acquired in those days have helped him to build a successful business empire from the scratch and maintain a good name till date.

"What I learnt as a child is exactly what is carrying me on now. I was a member of the Boy's Scout, attended Sunday school regularly and was actively involved in church activities just as you are now.

"I tell you that it was those moral ethics I learnt and practiced that made me who I am today. Read your bible. Listen to your elders. Sound foundation that will lead you through life," he said.

The coordinator of the program, Evangelist Chidozie Nwosu, while appreciating Ezeemo for honouring their invitation, told the youths that he is convinced that, among all the other gubernatorial hopefuls, Ezeemo stands head and shoulders tall in character, good antecedents and capacity to move Anambra State forward as a governor.

Nwosu narrated how other gubernatorial candidates who expressed interest to come and address the youths were declined and how he, after prayerfully studying the man, Ezeemo, found him a worthy role model to address the youths and therefore took the initiative to invite him to speak to the young people.

"Mr Ezeemo did not ask to come here but I invited him personally because I am personally convinced that he is the kind of person the youths should be listening to if our society is serious about changing their mindset for the better.

"His character is without repute and his plans for Anambra State are realistic and robust," the evangelist opined.

High point of the event was the question and answer session during which Ezeemo encouraged the youths to ask their leaders intelligent questions and ensure the answers they get guide their opinion and not the hand-outs they get. He also laid out some of his youth-centred plans for Anambra State which includes free quality education from primary one to JSS three, providing standard sports stadia to train youths with bodily intelligence and enthronement of meritocracy.

In the same vein, Godwin Ezeemo while congratulating graduates of St Paul's School of Theological Studies, Nnewi "for taking the bull by the horn," expressed conviction that what they learnt will go a long way in impacting the society positively.
