Anambra Ministry of Agriculture Partners AACCIMA to rally attendance to state Trades fair

The Anambra State Commissioner for Agriculture, Mechanisation, Processing & Export, Mr Afam Mbanefo has advised farmers, local and foreign investors to fully partake on the forthcoming Anambra Trade Fair entitled “The Jubilee Fair” with a view to showcasing the State’s agribusiness potentials to the world.

Mbanefo, who added that opportunities and potentials abound in agribusiness, while enlisting the state government’s strides on agriculture, explained that the trade fair would also enable both investors and farmers to create wealth and employment.

The Commissioner, who was speaking while receiving to his office, some members of Anambra Trade Fair Planning Committee which is championing the Trade Fair for the Association of Anambra Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (AACCIMA), a conglomeration of Awka Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (AWKACIMMA), Onitsha Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ONICCIMA), and Nnewi Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NCCIMA), reemphasised that Governor Willie Obiano’s led administration was poised to achieving its 4 pillar economic development through precision and transparency.

He therefore told the committee that he was always available to respond to their needs as it concerned his ministry.

Earlier speaking, the President of AWKACCIMA, Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu says the committee came to inform the commissioner about the trade fair so as to enable him invite other relevant stakeholders, especially the farmers, manufacturers and processors to actively participate in making the state a reference point and hub of industrialization, wealth creation and employment.

Also, Sunny Nwachukwu, the Chairman of Anambra Trade Fair Planning Committee, who explained that the annual event would be so unique as many countries in Africa and Europe, including four ministers are preparing to attend, solicited for the support of the Commissioner to reaching out to the federal minister of Agriculture and other relevant individuals in his ministry.

Nwachukwu further disclosed that the trade fair will feature 3-hours talk on petro chemical industrialization of Anambra, amongst other things which are in line with Governor Obiano’s mission and vision to make the state an investment hub for all generation.

On his part, the President, Onitsha Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ONICCIMA), Uche U. Apakama, while commending Governor Obiano on his various achievements and accolades been bequeathed on within his two years of administration, urged the commissioner, his colleagues and other aides of the governor never to relent on their efforts in lifting the state to enviable height. reports that the highpoint of the courtesy call on the commissioner was official presentation of the committee’s programme schedules, and so on.
