Ex-Deputy Governor Commends Gov. Obiano on Inaugurating APGA Reconciliation Committee

The former deputy Governor of Anambra state, Chief Emeka Sibeudu has commended the state Governor, Chief Willie Obiano for inaugurating a reconciliation committee to visit the members of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in 21 local government areas of the state with a view to resolving any existing issues that thwart the welfare of members and progress of the party in those areas. recalled that members of the committee include the former Commissioner for Information Chief Maja Umeh as chairman, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Local Government & Chieftaincy Matters Chief Maxie Onyekwere (Rtd) as the secretary, former Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Dr Chinwe Anowai; Deputy State woman leader APGA, Princess Njideka Muojeke-Okafor; the Assistant State Financial Secretary for APGA, Mr Iloka Mbazulike; Rtd director Ministry of Education, Lady Deby Onuora and the former Chairman Orumba South local government Godson Obi.

Chief Sibeudu, who made the commendation when the members of the committee paid a courtesy visit to his country home, Umunze in Orumba South council area, condemned the communication gap and leadership disconnect between the executives of Orumba South council and party members, which he said, had hampered good governance due to lack of cordial relationship.

While expressing confidence on the Maja Umeh-led committee, the former deputy governor warned against political desperation in Orumba South, because according to him, political positions should be rotational to allow every APGA member feel the impact of governance.

He however urged the people of the state to always support the present administration of Chief Willie Obiano in making the state a better place for living.

In his address, the Chairman of the Committee, Maja Umeh said the governor is deetermined to develop Orumba South and the entire state, even as he urged political office holders and council chairman to always extend political benevolence to party members and consult stakeholders in their communities in any policy making.
