ANSIPPA Creates Thousands Of Jobs for Unemployed in Anambra State

The Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA) has said that over ten thousand unemployed youths have secured direct and indirect employment through the agency since its inception in May 2014.

Speaking to at his palace, the ANSIPPA Chairman and Traditional Ruler of Umuoji, His Royal Highness Igwe Dr Cyril Enweze explained that the jobs are being created under a convivial business friendly environment in Anambra State with the State governor’s vision to making the Light of the Nation the first choice investment destination, a hub for industrialization and commercial activities.

Igwe Enweze, who further announced that the agency has attracted to the State about three point two billion United States dollars in less than two years, maintained that ‘ANSIPPA is a one stop shop’ where investors demands of approvals, permits, certificates, licences, and other documents are proceed within a few days as against over forty days which such exercise took in the past.

He commended the government of Governor Willie Obiano for providing what he termed ‘the best security network in the country, a business friendly environment, and good governance’, which according to him, had taken care of the impediments against investments in the state as experienced prior to his tenure.

The Royal Father therefore appealed to the citizenry to assist in the effort to woo both foreign and local investors, especially the indigenes to the state taking cognizance of its business friendly environment and best security network as such will help to creating more jobs as well as enhance its internally generated revenue (IGR).
