Jubilation Rocks Ekwusigo LGA as 6 months old House of Assembly member Flags 2 Constituency Projects, Empowers 40 Constituents

There was jubilation galore at Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Anambra State recently as the member representing the State Constituency at Anambra State House of Assembly; Hon. Onyebuchi Offor commissioned two completed constituency projects.

The projects which include renovated and refurbished buildings of Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Ekwusigo Unit RS5.36 Oraifite, and very wide perimeter fencing of Community Primary School, Akwa Ozubulu, were completed in two week.

Offor, who is just six months old in the House yet the Minority Leader of Anambra State House of Assembly, equally empowered 40 youths of the constituents with resources to making them job creators and employers of labour.

Speaking at occasion of official handing over of the renovated edifice, the Anambra State Sector Commander of the FRSC, Sunday Ajayi, and the Unit Commander of FRSC, Ekwusigo Unit RS5.36, Acc. Hyginus Ezeugwu disclosed that the buildings which had accommodated them since two years the unit was established had been a dilapidated building, leaking roof, and a pigsty.

Hence, they praised the lawmaker and his elder brother, Sir Emeka Offor, who attracted and still supporting the activities of the unit, and assured that it will go a long way in improving their working condition as they intensify effort on reducing road crash to a barest minimum on the ever busy Onitsha/Owerri federal Highway.

On her part, the Headmistress, Community Primary School, Akwa Ozubulu, Mrs. Catherine Uzor thanked God for wiping their tears, because according to her, the perimeter fencing has brought to an end, accidents which had claimed many lives of the school pupils since its inception in 1956 because it is located along the main road.

Earlier speaking, the lawmaker, Hon. Onyebuchi Offor averred that he was led by God to execute the two constituency projects out of his constituent funds, and vowed to provide the pupils with free books and other educational materials subsequently, as well as to construct overhead tanks, 5 standing fan, toilet and water system to the FRSC unit.

On the youths he empowered, the lawmaker pledged to empower more 40 on August this year.

Speaking in interviews, some of the beneficiaries, Miss Ogochukwu Ozugbo and Mr. Kingsley Emeka commended the lawmaker and promised to judiciously utilized them to actualize their dreams.
