NDLEA Sends 3 Drug Peddlers to 5 Years Imprisonment

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Anambra State says it has secured 3 convictions in the state at the Federal High Court, Awka in the month of October, 2015.

According to the press release emailed to yesterday, the drug peddlers were sent to jail after Justice I. B Gafar (of Awka Court 1 had listened to their case file).
The affected persons include, Mr. Chinonso Ude of Eziagu Local Government Area of Enugu State, who was arrested with 15 grammes of cannabis sativa at Lagos Motor park in Onistha (bagged 2 years imprisonment); Mr. Isaac King Clofford from Okitipupa Ondo State, who was arrested at Awada behind Army Barracks with 2.5Kg of cannabis sativa (garnered 3 years jailed); and Ndubuisi Ahamefuna of Awka South, Anambra State arrested at Mbakwu village with 0.5 grammes of cocaine, 2 grammes heroin, 100 grammes cannabis sativato 5 years imprisonment.

The State Commander, Sule Momodu through the statement, warned drug peddlers to put a stop to their activities or risk going to jail.
