The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has said that if voted into power, he will strengthen anti-corruption agencies to alleviate corruption in the state.
Ikpeazu, who said this on Tuesday at a press conference in Umuahia, stressed that persons with questionable character would not be part of his government.

He said that his government would maintain a zero tolerance for corruption.
He said, “Anybody that wants to work with me and thinks it is going to be a tea party has got it wrong. I will help the agencies vested with the powers to fight corruption. So, anybody who is corrupt or planning to be corrupt should get the emblem of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and paste it by the side of his mirror because he will soon be their guest.”
