Gov. Obiano Vows To Build Mechanic Village in Awka

Five modern mechanic villages are to be built in the state. Governor Willie Obiano, disclosed this while addressing members of the Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association, Anambra State Chapter, and the South East, South-South Drivers Welfare Association in Awka.

The Governor disclosed that the mechanic village, which will also accommodate the sale of all components of various types of vehicles, will be sited at Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi, Idemili and Aguata.

He urged members of the association to make professionalism their watchword, while charging them to vote massively for the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the coming elections.

On his part, the National Chairman of APGA and the party’s candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial district election, Chief Victor Umeh, urged them to assist the Governor in his developmental strides by voting for APGA candidates in all the elections to enable the government soar higher in its efforts.

Chief Umeh disclosed that the party’s decision to adopt President Goodluck Jonathan as its Presidential candidate, was to ensure that the report of the National Conference is implemented, which, according to him, informed his desire to vie for the senatorial seat so as to protect the interest of Ndigbo.
