A PDP Stalwalt describes APC as Anti-Igbo political Congress

PDP leader in Onitsha South Local Government Area, Chief Sabest Uzoeto has accused some powerful Nigerians from other geo-political zones of the country of sabotaging the effort of President Jonathan to make the Onitsha Sea Port an economic liability by not working towards the economic utilization of the sea port three years after it was commissioned.
Interacting with the press in Onitsha, the businessman turned politician stated that it was lamentable that the people of the Southeast zone of the country were being shortchanged in the much publicized Onitsha River Port as the people are the engine room of trade and commerce in Nigeria.
Chief Uzoeto who mentioned bureaucratic bottle neck and deliberate delay in the seeking and approving concessionaries as business partners, however, appealed to the Federal Government to work towards economic utilization of the seaport, adding that not only seminars and workshops by the Federal Ministry of Transport and the relevant agencies would make the river port achieve its aim, but putting necessary machinery on ground for its effective operation.
Chief Uzoeto emphasized the need for all hands to be on deck to make the port operational so as to absolve Nigerians who would be off the streets when the river port becomes functional.
On the recent APC convention in Abuja at the weekend, the PDP stalwart described it as anti-South East, stating that unlike PDP, the APC never considered an Igbo man for a sensitive position.
He acknowledged the need for an effective opposition party in a country, but regretted that APC must not criticize every good policy and programmers of the Federal Government just to score a cheap political point, adding that from all indications emanating from the APC convention the party is yet to take roots in the South East dismissed the uncertainty that elections might not hold in the country due to insurgency, emphasizing that even in violent prone countries like Afghanistan and Pakistan elections have been held successfully.
