Governor Obiano declares war at Indiscriminate dumping of refuse: violators to face court of law

Governor Willie Obiano has frowned at Indiscriminate Dumping of refuse in the state, advising perpetrators to have a rethink or face sanction.
Chief Obiano was speaking during a road construction tour at Nkpor-uno, Idemili-North Local Government area, yesterday.
He explained that dumping items in drainages, gutters, streets and roads would no longer be condoned in the state, as these constitute nuisance, environmental and health hazards and could also obstruct free flow of water, thereby, causing flooding.
The Governor who said he was determined to make the state most cleanest in Africa, further entreat the masses to join the moving train by using specified waste-bins provided to their streets and households by the state taskforce on environmental sanitation, ASEMA. reports that ASWEMA Waste-bins are scattered at major streets in the state for people to use but many chose to throwing used items, sachet water, water-cane among others anywhere.
