An Abuja based timber dealer and five others have been arrested by the Anambra State Command of the State Security Service (SSS) for snatching a Toyota Highlander Jeep and Honda Accord (End of Discussion) car. The suspects were arrested for snatching, disposing and receiving snatched vehicles.
They are: James Ukoh (Ebonyi), Joseph Igboji (Ebonyi), Nworah Ibe (Enugu) and Levi Kelechi Eze  from Imo State.
Others who were also nabbed are the two buyers of the car Mr. Titus Duruaku and Victor Ndubisi who allegedly bought the car at the price of N800, 000 each.
The suspects who were paraded before newsmen in Awka by the Anambra State Director of  SSS, Mr.  AU Okeiyi were arrested at various times and locations in Anambra, Kogi and Rivers states.
The SSS State Director, Mr. Okeiyi disclosed that Ukoh and Joseph Igboji were arrested at Nkpor in Idemili North local Government Area Of Anambra state while Ibe and Eze were arrested at Lokoja in Kogi State in the process of trying to snatch a Honda Accord Car (End of Discussion) from an unsuspecting victims in Ajaokuta.
While on interrogation, one of the suspects and a timber dealer at Abuja , Nworah Ibe disclosed that he has been into car snatching since 2009 saying that his gang’s first operation involved drugging the driver of a Nissan Sunny car in the FCT before making away with the car while his colleague, Levi Kelechi Eze admitted specializing in disposing the snatched vehicles including taken them to Rivers State where they were sold.
Other suspects arrested also disclosed their level of involvement in the car snatching allegation.
Suspects who bought the recovered Toyota Highlander Jeep with registration number ABUJA BW 851 RSH and Honda Accord (End of Discussion) with registration number ANAMBRA FGG 918 AG, Messers Titus Duruaku and Victor Ndubuisi could not explain how they bought the cars at N800,000 each but were seen weeping profusely.
Earlier, the SSS Director, AU Okeiyi appreciasted the assistance of her counterparts in Kogi and Rivers States in the course of the investigation.
