Ezeemo Transforms Youths through Art Exhibition

Indeed Fine and Applied Art has come to stay even the computer age could not hinder its growth, but rather added glamour to its popularity, aesthetic and sustainability, and it now cut-across all fields of endeavours with electrifying beauty and impacts world-over.

Sequel to this, attributing the life of both animate and inanimates to splendour of the aged industry may not be hyperbolic, as Mr. Ezeemo Uchechukwu, an Artist and founder of ZIMO ART GALLERY showcased this yesterday in a solo-exhibition of mixed-media, paintings and textiles tagged “Visual Aesthetic” held at Crunches Fried Chicken, Awka, Anambra state.

Mr. Uchechukwu Ezeemo is a cousin brother of Anambra's November 16th, 2013 PPA Gubernatorial candidate, a graduate of Fine and Applied Art of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

But the gallant entertaining and educative exhibition was not without other Artists, Professionals and spectators including the immediate past Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Lawrence Ikeakor; Prof. Cliff Nwanna, the Head of Department of Fine and Applied Art, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka who was represented by a lecturer in the department, Dr. Okechukwu Nwafor; Madam Nwabuani Christie, the Headmistress of GHA; Pastor Tony Bigbe of Kaamu Farms among others.

Also, some Poets who recited their educative poems at the event were Mr. Chibuke Okafo and Miss Unaku Onwuka while Mr. Anyike Okafo thrilled the heart with Saxophone, even as Mr. Ezeemo’s artistic works and textiles displayed in the arena crowned the occasion with a huge success.

In a lecture entitled “Visual Aesthetic”, HOD, Fine and Applied Arts of NAU, Prof. Cliff Nwanna praised the courage of Mr. Ezeemo, describing him as a man of Vision who had done his community and nation pride through art, but advised him to double more efforts as sky was his starting point.
Prof. Nwanna who spoke through his representative, Dr. Okechukwu, explained that art is a lucrative venture the world cannot do without, calling on youths to explore every opportunities they find themselves so as to impart positively on their generation, even as he stressed the needs for intensive study among students.

Earlier speaking, the Exhibitor, Mr. Uchechukwu Ezeemo disclosed that the exhibition was part of his determination to depict artistic endowment in accordance to his studio (ZIMO) whose aspiration is to sensitize and impart the world through artistic skills.
