Amazing: Primary School Pupils lecture UNN Students of Pharmacognosy Dept.

Today is a memorable day at Center for Psychic and Healing Administration, Awka, Anambra state as students of Pharmacognosy Department, University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), paid her a study visit to acquaint themselves with the practical aspect of their course of study.

The academic exploitation tour led by the Acting Head, Pharmacognosy and Environmental Medicine, UNN Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Mrs. Uchenna Odoh among other distinguished academia, could best be described as a huge success, as the Founder of CPHA, Chief Dr. Mrs. Flora Ilonzo and her staff, bequeathed them with the efficacy of herbal medicine while maintaining that every plant is medicinally potent.

Dr. Flora Ilonzo is an Inspirational Teacher, Doctor and Philanthropy who teaches natural remedy and effective cure to all kinds of diseases or viral infections through African diet via print and electronic media. Since1982 she ventured into the profession, over 3 million patients have been healed among other philanthropic offer she has rendered within and outside Africa. As a result, She has visited over 100 countries across the 6 continent and is expected to deliver a lecture at Germany next two months on natural means or permanent cure to Cancer.

However, the most intrinsic aspect of the excursion was when the Primary School Pupils of CPHA Herbal Study: 8 years Mr. Okoye Celestine,prim. 6; Miss Eze Chiamaka (6years), prim.5 and Mr. Tuur Shater, 12 years, prim 6, taught the final year university student the botanical names, English, Huasa Yoruba and Igbo names of some African plants and their medicinal values or uses, to admiration of all.

In a speech, Dr. Ilonzo who took the august visitors round her herbal garden, stressed the significance of African vegetation, and charged them to utilize knowledge garnered therein religiously, even as she called for a collaborative effort in spreading the tidings world over especially to generations yet unborn, free of charge, with a view to sustaining it.

She said diseases and infections are preventable and curable with natural herbs, plants and vegetables, thus her resolve to preach the sermon across the seas, as her teachings, experiment, exhibition and research has redeemed many souls all over the continent without requesting for a dine.

According to the natural healer whose farm inhabit 375 internationally research proved species; a school, CPHA Herbal Study; graduated 8 medical doctors, 5 pharmacists and 8 Botanists, her researched works and remedy to diseases are downloadable online via website and facebook.

Ilonzo who wondered why Africans travel abroad for medical treatment while foreigners flew-in for similar purposes through natural herbs, posited that our destiny are in our hands, and enjoined government to re-schedule the academic syllables of students studying Botany, Pharmacognosy and other medical/health related disciplines to include how to cultivate, nurture plants and their uses in manufacturing drugs for self-sustenance and employment opportunities upon graduation.

Reacting, some of the students, Miss. Kosisochukwu Ezeagwu and Mr. Eze Ikechukwu, said they were determined to explore the opportunity for self actualization, realization of their dreams and national development.
In an interview, Acting Head of the Department, Dr. Mrs. Uchenna Odoh, explained that the excursion was part of the requirements for award of bachelor’s degree to final year students, but was structured to inculcate virtues embedded in herbal/natural medicine and uses for treatment of diseases to students, as well as to avail them greater opportunities to meet and interact with experienced practitioners in the field, noting that the university has partnered with CPHA for about 30 years and would continue in a similar gesture.
